Hope Hill has one main program - The YEP program.  We also have two programs that stem off of the YEP Program as discharge alternatives, Independent Living or Foster Care.  Below the YEP program's phases are described in detail.  The Foster Care Program and the Independent Living Program are described under the YEP Program.

YEP
Youth Empowerment Program

Phase 1:  Orientation
Youth will learn program rules and behavior expectations.  Additionally, youth will share their life story with staff.

Phase 2:  Learning
Youth will focus on behavior expectations and decision making skills.  Individualized goals are established for youth based upon their individual needs.

Phase 3:  Apprentice
family counseling and relationship mending are the focus in this phase of treatment.  Discharge goals are developed and may include family reunification, independent living or foster care.

Phase 4:  Progress
Youth refine life skills learned in the previous phases and begin to focus on independent living and work readiness skills.

Phase 5:  Graduation
Youth will have completed the educational goals and successfully addressed family and behavior issues.  Looking toward the future, youth will address goals necessary for successful transition to their next destination.

Foster Care Program

Foster parents receive annual training and are licensed by the state.  Hope Hill foster parents are individuals committed to assisting youth and families with new life beginnings for a brighter tomorrow.  Our foster parents provide youth the opportunity to explore their own beliefs and discuss moral issues as they develop responsible decision making skills.  The individualized care and attention provided by a loving foster family will impact a child for the rest of her life.

Independent Living Program

Residents not able to return home can transition into the I.L. Program.  In this program our young ladies are moved into their own apartment while still being monitored by nightly phone contacts, receipt of weekly schedules, random visits by staff, and having weekly appointments with staff.  The youth are monitored for a minimum of three months.
