Dene’ Thibeaux is a Family Law Attorney servicing the Lafayette area for the past six year. Born and raised on the North side of Lafayette, Dene’ has been committed to giving back to her community by
providing access to affordable legal services, assisting in the representation of survivors of domestic violence and advocating for children in the foster care system.

Dene’ is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she obtained a degree in Criminal Justice. At the age of 31, Dene’ decided to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney and began LSU Law in 2013. Dene’ subsequently graduated with her Juris Doctor and a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law.

Dene’ worked briefly as a Child in Need of Care attorney, representing child victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment in the foster care system. Thereafter she began practicing primarily family law wherein her most rewarding experiences have been assisting the survivors of domestic abuse separate from their abusers, gain  custody of their children and rebuild their lives.

 

Dene’ is the recipient of the 2019 Faith House Woman of the Year award for her continued efforts in assisting survivors of domestic violence and their children. She has also been awarded the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women 2021 Women of Excellence Award.

When she isn’t working, Dene’ enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
