About Us
Founded in 2018 by La’Toya and Kevin Guillory, the Family Connection is a group of educators and mentors who are committed to redirecting the path of young adults who will soon age out of foster care. At the core of our organization, we believe every child deserves to have the chance to succeed in adulthood, and we strive for those better outcomes everyday.
The young adults we serve come from all walks of life. Some hope to one day reunite with their family members while others are left navigating the difficulties of early adulthood on their own. With no one in their corner, it’s no surprise that many of these individuals face stark odds. We know this path isn’t their only option. That’s why we’re so passionate about helping change their course with resources and support that they would normally get in a family environment.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we rely on support from our community to fund the many services we provide to these under-served individuals. From life skills training, educational support, career guidance, and ongoing mentorship, we give them all the tools they need to become self-sufficient, thriving adults who are ready to live independently.

The Family Connection Inc. is a 501c3 non profit agency that prepares transition-age foster youth for independent adulthood through coordinated interventions designed to improve housing stability, educational attainment, workforce readiness, and long-term self-sufficiency.
