"I love this community and I truly believe that every family that I serve has the capacity to make Acadiana better. I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with my bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies. I completed my master’s degree in human services with a specialization in Marriage and Family. Upon obtaining my master’s degree, I became a certified Marriage Enrichment Facilitator using the Prepare and Enrich and SYMBIS curriculum. With these certifications, I am able to provide affordable couples counseling, premarital counseling and so much more.

My husband and I founded The Family Connection Inc. in April 2018. The Family Connection Inc. is a non-profit that offers life skills, counseling services, transitional housing services, educational development, and career guidance for older foster care youth. Our passion is to reach families and assist them in reaching their full potential.

 

I was honored as one of Acadiana's top 20 under 40 young leaders in 2018. I am actively involved in my community and enjoy seeing relationships prosper. The Social Service Network, Connections Professional Women's Network, and The Arch (Acadiana Region Coalition on Homelessness). I am also a part a planning committee member for the UL Women's Leadership Conference and serve on the member engagement committee for the UL Christiana Smith African American Alumni Chapter.​

 

I am the owner and founder of Empowered with Purpose LLC. I am also the author of Anchored: Anchored in Christ, Anchored in Marriage which can be found on Amazon, Audible, iTunes, and Ingram Spark. My book can also be found locally at Attakapas Collective, Barnes and Noble and our local library. As a Relationship and Life Coach , my mission in life is to motivate others to find their purpose and empower them to pursue it."
