I am a native of St. Martinville, Louisiana. I graduated from Southern University and A&M College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. I attended The University of Louisiana at Monroe and received my master’s degree in criminal justice.

I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor with over ten years of experience. I’ve worked with adults who wanted to live a healthier lifestyle, but due to unforeseen circumstances were unable to cope with life on life’s term. My interest in addiction counseling began with my work with at-risk youth. I found that this special population struggled with substance use, trauma, and behavioral issues both at school and in their homes. It was at this time I began searching for solutions and wondering how could I be of help to these families in need.

Throughout my ten years of service, I became a Certified Clinical Supervisor. This certification allows me to work with new counselors who want to make a difference as an addiction counselor. I recently received an SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) certification. As an SAP provider, I am fully qualified to perform evaluations for DOT-mandated safety sensitive employees.

I am the owner and founder of E’ New You, LLC. This is an up-and-coming business venture which will focus on assisting people in the community who want to stay sober and connecting them with peers who have maintained sobriety.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cooking. I am a member of Sisters in Christ and National Association of University Women. Being a part of these amazing organizations allows me to volunteer and be a part of my community.
