The Family Connection Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Board of Directors position focused on Volunteers and Community Engagement 

About Board Service

Serving on the Board of Directors is an opportunity to provide leadership, oversight, and strategic guidance in support of the organization’s mission to equip older foster youth and families with the resources needed for long-term success. Board members serve in a governance capacity and do not participate in daily operations.

Role Focus

This board member will help guide the organization’s approach to volunteer involvement and community partnerships, strengthening relationships that support program impact.

Key Areas of Contribution
  • Provide strategic guidance on volunteer engagement and retention

  • Advise on community outreach and partnership development

  • Support alignment between volunteer efforts and organizational goals

  • Act as an ambassador for the organization within the community

Ideal Experience
  • Experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, nonprofit leadership, or civic involvement

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Passion for community impact and youth-serving initiatives

Board Commitment
  • Attendance and participation in quarterly board meetings

  • Adherence to fiduciary responsibilities and governance standards

  • Service in a volunteer, leadership capacity
