The Family Connection Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Board of Directors position focused on Marketing and Communications.

​

About Board Service

Serving on the Board of Directors is an opportunity to provide leadership, oversight, and strategic guidance in support of the organization’s mission to equip older foster youth and families with the resources needed for long-term success. Board members serve in a governance capacity and do not participate in daily operations.

​

Role Focus

This board member will contribute professional insight and strategic perspective to help strengthen the organization’s marketing, communications, and public visibility.

​

Key Areas of Contribution
  • Provide governance-level guidance on marketing and communications strategy

  • Support messaging, branding, and outreach efforts aligned with the mission

  • Advise on opportunities to increase community awareness and engagement

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership

​

Ideal Experience
  • Background in marketing, communications, public relations, branding, or digital media

  • Experience with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferred

  • Ability to think strategically and contribute at the board level

​​

Board Commitment
  • Attendance and participation in quarterly board meetings

  • Serve on relevant committees as needed

  • Adherence to fiduciary responsibilities and governance standards

  • Service in a volunteer, leadership capacity
